एक खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर चलाए गए अभियान में, काउंटर इंटेलिजेंस #अमृतसर ने पाकिस्तान से जुड़े एक सीमा पार हथियार और नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी करने वाले मॉड्यूल का भंडाफोड़ किया और तरनतारन निवासी दो गुर्गों गुरजंत सिंह और गुरवेल सिंह को गिरफ्तार किया और उनके पास से 2.5 किलोग्राम हेरोइन और 5 अत्याधुनिक पिस्तौलें और मैगज़ीन बरामद कीं।
प्रारंभिक जाँच से पता चला है कि गिरफ्तार आरोपी सीमा पार से तस्करी के लिए पाकिस्तान स्थित तस्कर के निर्देश पर काम कर रहे थे। बरामद हथियारों की आपूर्ति पंजाब में गैरकानूनी गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए गैंगस्टरों और अपराधियों को की जानी थी।
थाना #एसएसओसी, अमृतसर में प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई। नेटवर्क के आगे और पीछे के संबंधों सहित पूरे गठजोड़ को उजागर करने के लिए आगे की जाँच जारी है।
पंजाब पुलिस #पंजाब की सुरक्षा के लिए नार्को-आतंक और संगठित अपराध नेटवर्क को खत्म करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराती है।

In an intelligence-led operation, Counter Intelligence #Amritsar busts a cross-border arms & narcotics smuggling module with links to Pakistan & apprehends two operatives Gurjant Singh & Gurvel Singh, both resident of TarnTaran & recovers 2.5 kg Heroin & 5 sophisticated pistols alongwith magazines.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused were acting upon the directions of Pakistan-based smuggler to smuggle the contraband from across the border. The recovered arms were meant to be supplied to gangsters & criminals to fuel unlawful activities in Punjab.
FIR registered at PS #SSOC, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to expose the full nexus, including the backward and forward linkages of the network.
