During the year 2025, Udhampur Police intensified its drive against drug trafficking under Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan.*From January to December 2025, 153 NDPS cases were registered, leading to the arrest of 203 drug smugglers. 19 hardcore narcotics smugglers were booked under PIT NDPS.*
In the crackdown, *77 vehicles were seized and 12 pharmacy shops were sealed for H1 drug violations*. Narcotic substances worth *₹10.50 crore were seized, including heroin, charas, poppy straw and ganja.* Illicit opium cultivation over 02 kanal and 10 marlas of land was also destroyed in Panchari.
Udhampur Police froze *56 bank accounts of drug peddlers involving ₹17.59 lakh* and attached *properties worth ₹21 crore in 28 NDPS cases. On the prosecution front, 77 cases resulted in 98 convictions*.
