November 10““ In a continuing effort to eradicate drug trafficking from the society, Pulwama Police arrested one person and recovered charas powder from his possession during a naka checking operation at Pirtaki, Litter.
During the operation, a police party from Police Station Litter intercepted an individual identified as Sharik Ahmad Dar, son of Ab Gani Dar, resident of Litter. Upon search, 266.5 grams of charas powder was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 96/2025 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Litter, and further investigation has been initiated.
Pulwama Police reiterates its commitment to making the district drug-free and urges the public to share any information related to drug abuse or trafficking for timely and effective action.
