Kathua; 19 August:J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* today recovered 24 Bottles of JK Chenab Special Whisky (750 ml each) in the jurisdictional area of P/S Basohli and one bootlegger was arrested in this connection.
A Police Party of P/S Basohli led by SHO PS Basohli Insp. Tribhawan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Basohli Sh. Suresh Kumar during special Checking arrested one bootlegger namely Sohan Lal S/o Nand Lal R/o Village Dhar Jhankar Tehsil Basohli District Kathua and recovered 24 bottles Jk Special Whisky (750 each) from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 83/2025 U/S 48(a)/Excise Act stands registered at this PS Basohli and further investigation is going on.
