ONE BOOTLEGER ARRESTED; 13 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR RECOVERED BY P/S BILLAWAR.

KATHUA; 17 NOV:- J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma-IPS* recovered 13 Bottles of Illicit liquor (XXX Rum) from his possession in the jurisdictional area of PS Billawar.
On 16/11/2025 a Police team of P/S Billawar led by *SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq* under the guidance of *SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar*
established naka for checking/ Frisking of vehicles in its jurisdictional area. During checking on suspicious grounds stopped one person having a bag in his hand coming from Billawar towards Sukrala side. To evade checking the said person tried to escape from the spot, but the police team chased and apprehended him. While questioning he disclosed his name as *Baldev Singh S/o Hukum Chand R/o Sadrota Orha Raya Sial Tehsil Lohai Malhar Distt.Kathua.* During the checking of bag 13 Bottles of XXX Rum (750/750 ml each) has been recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 170/2025 U/S 48(a)/Excise Act stands registered at this P/S Billawar, further investigation is going on.
