J&K POLICE KATHUA SEIZED 15 VEHICLES INCLUDING 10 DUMPERS & 05 TRACTOR TROLLEYS FOR ILLEGAL MINING AT LAKHANPUR, CHADWAL & HATLI AREA.

KATHUA; 07 NOV: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS* has seized a total of 15 vehicles including 10 dumpers & 05 Tractor alongwith Trolleys in the jurisdictional areas of Police Station Lakhanpur, PP Chadwal and PP Hatli which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material (Without A Form).
In the first instance, a Police team headed by SHO PS Lakhanpur under the guidance of *Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS & DySP DAR Kathua* while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional area, have seized 08 vehicles i.e (07 Dumpers and 01 Tractor alongwith Trolley) bearing registration Nos.
PB11CW-0395,PB06BC-2538,PB06BL-5013,PB07BD-0015, three dumpers & 01 Tractor Trolley bearing Unknown Reg. no. which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
While in the second instance police team led by IC PP Chadwal under the guidance of *SP Ops. Kathua Sh. Mukund Tibrewal IPS* & SDPO Border while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional area, have seized 06 vehicles i.e 04 Tractor alongwith Trolleys & 02 dumpers bearing Reg. No.s JK08Q-1011 & JK21G-9959 indulged in illegal mining / transportation of construction material without any legal permission. Moreover, police team of PP Hatli under the guidance of *DySP Hqrs Kathua* also seized one dumper bearing Reg. No. Jk08P-9913 indulged in transportation of mining material without A Form.
The above mentioned 15 vehicles i.e ( 10 Dumpers & 05 Tractor Trolleys) have been seized by @Kathua Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
