Jal Shakti Minister Javed Ahmed Rana laid the foundation stone for the Water Supply Scheme under AMRUT 2.0, aimed at ensuring 100% water coverage in Uri town.
Terming it a major step toward clean and reliable drinking water for every household, he reaffirmed @OmarAbdullah-led Government’s commitment to bridging gaps in remote and underserved areas.
The project includes construction of a 0.55 MGD RSFP at Uri, a 0.25 MGD RSFP at Lagama, a new water reservoir and augmentation of the existing distribution network to meet both present and future needs.
