Police team from Police Station Udhampur led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle/Patrolling duty apprehended one suspicious person from NHW near Kalra College, who on spoting police team tried to hide himself from police team which created suspicion.
Upon conducting a thorough frisking, the police team recovered 5.78 grams of heroin (chitta) like Contraband substance from the possession of the above apprehended person namely Sunil Kumar S/O Kali Dass R/O Satani near Air force station Udhampur who has been arrested on spot.
On this, a case vide FIR No. 192/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Udhampur and further investigation was set into probe.
It is pertinent to mention that the said accused was involved in an accident case while under the influence of a narcotic substance.”
