Government Degree College Kakryal, Katra organized aseminar on the theme “Contribution of J&K Youth in Achieving Viksit Bharat @2047”, followed by a National Anthem Singing Competition on the eve of 79th Independence Day. The seminar began with the welcome address by Dr. UshaSharma, who emphasized the importance of youth participation in realizing the goals of a developed India. In total seven students participated in the seminar, in which Shivani (sem 5th) secured Ist position, Riya (Sem 5th) and Pallavi secured 2ndposition jointly. The jury member for the seminar were Dr. Sajaad Iqbal and Prof. Younus Salem. The students shared their views, showcasing a strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm toward contributing to the national vision. Following the seminar, a National Anthem Singing Competition was held, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of all the semesters. Participants were judged on the basis of clarity of pronunciation, rhythm and melody and expression and overall presentation. Total number of five students participated in the competition, in which Sonika (5th sem), Mehak (5th sem) and Riya (5th sem) secured Ist, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The judges for the singing competition were Prof. Shikha Bhasin and Prof. Nasar Ahmed. The competition fostered a spirit of patriotism and unity among students. The event successfully highlighted the immense potential and commitment of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir in nation-building. Through thoughtful discussions and cultural expression, the program reinforced the message that the youth are key stakeholders in achieving ViksitBharat @2047. The worthy principal of the college, Dr. RajniBhagat, also appreciated the participation of the students. Dr. Manisha Kumari and Dr. Harmeet kour also graced the occasion with their presence. The event ended with a formal vote of thanks.
