In a remarkable initiative aimed at fostering patriotic values and encouraging critical thinking among the youth, *Ganderbal Police* today organized a *Debate Competition* at *Government Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal* on the thought-provoking theme; *“Sardar Patel-the unsung architect of modern india.* The event was presided by *SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS.*
The event was held to commemorate the towering contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, whose vision, leadership, and efforts in uniting the nation continue to inspire generations. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various schools across the district, who expressed their views with great fervour, eloquence, and insight.
*SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS* delivered a motivating address to the participating students. In his remarks, SSP Ganderbal emphasized that the principles and leadership qualities of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel remain a guiding light for the youth. He stressed upon the importance of unity, integrity, and discipline in nation-building and encouraged students to imbibe these values in their personal and professional lives, and refrain themselves from the menace of drug addiction.
Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Parvaiz Ahmad, Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Owaise Rashid Loun-JKPS and Senior police officers from *Ganderbal Police,* prominent educationists, school faculty members, and local dignitaries were also present to witness the spirited exchange of ideas. The speakers highlighted various dimensions of Sardar Patel’s legacy—from his role in national integration and administrative reforms to his principles of discipline and unity, incorporating their values into the education system to instil a sense of unity, nationalism, and responsibility among young minds.
At the conclusion of the event, *1st, 2nd and 3rd* position holders were rewarded with *Cash prizes and Appreciation Certificates.*
This initiative is part of *Ganderbal Police’s* broader commitment to community outreach and youth engagement through educational, cultural, and awareness-based programs. Such events not only help students showcase their talents but also promote informed discourse on nation-building and civic responsibility.
