Police team of Police Station Udhampur, acting swiftly on reliable information, apprehended one person involved in illegal trade of liquor. The accused, identified as Motilal S/O Devidas R/O Dansal Sali, Tehsil Dansal, District Jammu was intercepted while moving towards Omara Morh in his vehicle bearing registration number JK02DJ-4433.
During search of the vehicle, the Police team recovered 170 quarters (250 ml each) of JK Special Whisky from his possession. The accused has been arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 311/2025 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation is underway.
