Kathua; 25 October:- Continuing its efforts against drug menace, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS* recovered approx. 6.30 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics at Barmora area of PP Industrial Estates Kathua, 01 drug peddler arrested.
On 24-10-2025, acting on the intelligent input received through a reliable source, a Police team led by IC PP Industrial Estates Kathua under the supervision of *Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS, DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh & SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Singh Chib* laid down a special naka/ checking at Barmora area and apprehended one person namely 1) Shiveak Mahajan S/o Satish Kumar Tehsil & District kathua who was having 6.30 grams of heroine like substance in his possession. The recovered contraband was seized and accused person was taken into police custody on spot. In this connection, further investigation is in progress vide FIR No. 519/2025 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act, PS Kathua.
