Kathua, August 22, 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* has arrested a drug peddler near NHW Maggar Khad Police Station Lakhanpur and recovered approx. 950 grams ganja like substance from his posssssion.
A Police party of Police Station Lakhanpur led by *Insp. Tariq Ahmed SHO PS Lakahnpur under the close supervision of Addl SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS & DySP DAR Kathua Sh. Ritesh Samyal* while performing naka duty at NHW Maggar Khad, Lakhanpur apprehended a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances and during frisking recovered 950 grams ganja like substance from his possession.
The drug peddler identified as Pardeep Kumar Naik S/o Kailash Naik R/o Basalai District Kundheigola District Debagarh State Odisha A/P Patel Nagar Kathua has been arrested and contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No 101/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Lakhanpur and investigation started.
