*J&K POLICE KATHUA ORGANIZED THANA DIWAS AT (PHALOTE) PS KATHUA & (MAGGAR KHAD) PS LAKHANPUR AREA*
Kathua; 08 August :- As per schedule of observing *THANA DIWAS* District Police Kathua organized Thana Diwas at Phalote area of P/S Kathua was chaired by worthy *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* accompanied by DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh, SHO PS Kathua Insp Sandeep Chib, IC PP Nagri and attended by ex Sarpanches, panches, Retired Police Personnel and other respectables of village as well as adjoining areas , approx 130-150 persons attended the program.
In addition, Thana Diwas was also organised at Maggar Khad in the jurisdiction of PS Lakhanpur to discuss general issues faced by the local community. *Addl SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak-JKPS* accompanied by SHO PS Lakhanpur Insp. Tribhawan Khajuria and other prominent citizens took part in the event.
Various genuine problems/ key issues discussed in both the meetings including traffic management, theft cases, beggars in the society and need for better patrolling in sensitive areas.
Thus, overall a large number of Civilians /complainants participated in these events with their grievances and complaints. A patient hearing was given to the grievances of complainants put forth by the people who participated and a number of police services were given to the needy persons.Moreover people were made aware of Drugs Menace as well as made aware regarding current security scenario. They were exhorted to cooperate police in eradicating the menace of drug peddling bovine smuggling etc whereas Traffic Management, overspeeding heavy motor vehicles etc were also the core issues discussed.
Pertinent to mention here that *THANA DIWAS* is organized by J&K Police Kathua to deliver the Police services at door step for the convenience of general public.
