Dr. Rajeev Bhagat holds Public Darbar at BJP headquarters

Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, MLA of Bishnah Assembly Constituency, held a Public Darbar at the Jammu & Kashmir BJP Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to listen to the grievances of citizens.

The Darbar witnessed participation from local residents and deputations hailing from various parts of Jammu, reflecting the increasing public faith in the BJP’s people-centric approach.

During the interaction, multiple civic and infrastructure-related issues were raised. Deputations from Chak Murar, Arjun Vihar, and Nanak Nagar collectively complained about more than three dozen non-functional street lights, posing a safety risk for residents. Residents of Brahmana Mohalla Dilli and Last Morh Gandhi Nagar demanded the construction of lanes and drains in their localities, while a deputation from Gandhi Nagar highlighted the issue of non-functional smart lights on the backside of Apsara Road.

Another deputation from Deep Nagar expressed concern over a non-functional transformer, affecting electricity supply. Citizens from Chak Avatar in Bishnah highlighted the poor condition of roadside drains and requested the installation of 28 new electric poles. Residents of Hasra Dabbad pointed out the inoperative tube-well due to missing OHT (Overhead Tank) lines, while a deputation from Maralian raised the issue of irregular garbage collection.

The issue of encroachment at Lalyana Minor and the need for proper demarcation of canal land was brought forth by residents of Chagra Bishnah. The people of Kothe Sainian requested the construction of a drain from the power house to Chack Hasal and demanded the construction of lane and drain infrastructure in the area.

Dr. Rajeev Bhagat gave a patient hearing to all deputations and took immediate action by contacting concerned department officials both orally and in writing. He assured the public that all their issues would be resolved in a time-bound manner and pressed for swift departmental response.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Bhagat stated, “Our aim is to bridge the gap between the administration and the common citizen. Every voice matters, and every grievance deserves attention. I will personally monitor the progress of all raised concerns until they are satisfactorily resolved.”
