Former Deputy Mayor Jammu & senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria visited the many wards of Jammu city and reviewed the drain cleaning campaign being run by the Municipal Corporation. Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that this time almost all the Nallah’s have been cleaned, in this context, he visited the ward with the officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation and reviewed the drain cleaning work. Billawaria told the officials present on the spot to run the drain cleaning campaign in a proper manner, to which the officer agreed. He further said that the monsoon is about to knock on in Jammu, all the former Corporators are working together with the officials so that the people living in Jammu city do not have to face water-logging problems. He said that although the term of the Corporators who won from Jammu Municipal Corporation has ended, the Corporators are still solving the problems of the people by coordinating with the officials of the Municipal corporation. Billawaria said that the work being done by Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Divyansh Yadav and his team regarding the cleanliness system in Jammu city is commendable and praiseworthy. He emphasised that cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen and urged the people to use dustbins to dispose of their garbage and keep the environment around them clean. He said that under no circumstances should garbage be thrown in the deep drains of your area and cooperate with the municipal corporation in keeping the drains clean. Billawaria further said that the holy pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath ji has started, in such a situation it is the responsibility of all the people of Jammu, business community, prominent citizens of Jammu to ensure that the devotees coming to the city get a clean environment.
