01 DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED; 5.65 GRAMS OF HEROIN (CHITTA) LIKE SUBSTANCE RECOVERED BY PS HIRANAGAR; 01 MOTORBIKE SEIZED.

KATHUA; 27 NOV :- J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma -IPS* has recovered 5.65 grams of Heroin(Chitta) like substance at Link road Plai near Grid Station, PS Hiranagar area and one drug peddler was arrested as well as seized 01 Motorcycle involved.
On 26/11/2025 a Police team of PS Hiranagar led by Insp. Ashish Sharma under the close supervision of *SP Ops Kathua Sh. Mukund Tibrewal IPS and SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Katoch* established a routine naka in its jurisdictional area to keep a check on suspicious movement and illegal activities.
During naka checking at link road Plai near Grid Station, the police party noticed one person en routed on motorcycle bearing Reg. No. JK08P-2415 under a suspicious manner. On being stopped and questioned, he disclosed his identity as 1. Teg Ali S/o Mohd Qazi R/o Rakh Sarkar Plai Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua. Upon his personal search, *5.65 grams* of Heroin Chitta-like substance have been recovered from his possession and seized vehicle involved
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 165/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Hiranagar , and the accused was taken into custody on the spot. The recovered contraband has been seized as per legal procedures, and further investigation is in progress to trace the source and linkages of the narcotic supply.
