BOVINE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT FOILED BY POLICE PS RAJBAGH; 10 BOVINES RESCUED, 02 PERSONS ARRESTED & SEIZED 01 VEHICLE INVOLVED.

KATHUA, 22 NOV:- Tightening the noose of bovine smugglers within the district, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma-IPS*, rescued a total of 10 bovines from NHW Rajbagh area, 02 persons arrested and seized 01 vehicle ( Truck ) involved. On dated 21.11.2025 a police team of PS Rajbagh led by SHO P/S Rajbagh Insp. Ajay Singh Chib under the guidance of *SP Ops Kathua Sh. Mukund Tibrewal IPS* & SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Katoch JKPS during naka/ checking at NHW Rajbagh area noticed the movement of one suspicious vehicle ( Truck) bearing Reg. no. HP94A-2987 driven by Balshan Kumar S/o Surinder Kumar R/o Mukerian Hoshiarpur Pb and his accomplice namely Mohd Yaseen Khan S/o Parvez Ahmed Khan R/o Satirmaidan Gopalpora Mattan Anantnag J&K enrouted from Punjab side towards Jammu was signalled to stop for checking.During checking of the vehicle, total 10 Bovines (07 cows and 03 calves ) were found loaded in the vehicles mercilessily which were rescued, two persons arrested and said truck was seized on spot.On this, an instant case has been registered at P/S Rajbagh vide FIR No. 224/2025 U/S 223/BNS 11 PCA while further investigation into this matter has been set into motion. #Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step especially to curb the Bovine Smuggling menace from society.
