Jammu, November 2025
It has come to the notice of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) that several Junior Engineers and other officers in the PDW, Jal Shakti, Flood Irrigation, and Mechanical departments of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, though promoted to higher positions nearly two years ago, continue to await formal adjustment and posting orders from the concerned administrative departments.
This unwarranted delay has not only caused deep frustration among the affected officers but has also adversely impacted the smooth functioning of essential public service departments. The absence of proper adjustment orders has led to administrative stagnation, disrupted field-level supervision, and slowed the implementation of vital water supply, flood management, and mechanical works across various districts.
The BSP strongly urges the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor to take immediate cognizance of this matter and direct the concerned administrative authorities to complete all pending adjustments without further delay.
Furthermore, if the completion of these adjustments results in vacancies within the lower cadres, it is imperative that the Government initiate a timely recruitment drive to fill all such posts. This would not only ensure continuity of departmental operations but also provide employment opportunities to qualified youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The BSP reiterates its commitment to advocating for fair administrative procedures and ensuring that all officers receive their due career progression and posting opportunities without unnecessary bureaucratic delay.
