The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Jammu & Kashmir Unit convened its monthly organizational meeting today under the leadership of State President Shri Darshan Rana. The session witnessed the distinguished presence of Chief Guests Shri Dharmbir Singh Ashok and Shri Nittan Singh, Coordinators for Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Kerala. The meeting focused on strengthening the party structure at the grassroots level, ensuring strong units in every district, constituency, and booth, while also expanding outreach particularly among the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community. A major highlight of the session was the unanimous decision to celebrate the birthday of BSP National President Behan Kumari Mayawati Ji on 15 January 2026 as “Jan Kalyan Divas” across the Union Territory. The celebration will include public welfare events, awareness drives on education, employment, healthcare, and initiatives promoting social equality and justice for all sections of society. Emphasizing the importance of OBC empowerment, the leadership announced a focused campaign to deepen OBC participation in the Bahujan movement, acknowledging their vital role in achieving social and economic justice. Addressing the workers, Shri Dharmbir Singh Ashok reiterated that BSP remains the only political force dedicated to the philosophy of “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay,” urging party cadres to follow the path of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Behan Kumari Mayawati Ji to uplift marginalized communities. Shri Nittan Singh stressed that BSP’s mission extends beyond winning power; it is a movement for social transformation, dignity, and rights of the deprived sections. In his concluding remarks, State President Shri Darshan Rana affirmed that BSP is steadily expanding across Jammu & Kashmir and soon strong organizational structures will be active at every level to ensure maximum public participation. He reiterated that BSP stands as the true voice of Dalits, OBCs, Adivasis, and minorities, committed to establishing an equal, just, and empowered society as envisioned by Dr. Ambedkar and Behan Kumari Mayawati Ji.
