Jammu 26th October 2025, The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory Unit, has expressed deep concern over the recent incidents in Jhukhala (Kathua) and Bani.

The Party stated that it is highly unfortunate and condemnable that certain miscreants have taken the law into their own hands, thereby disturbing the peace and communal harmony in the region.

BSP firmly believes that every citizen has the constitutional right to preach and practice their religion freely. The Christian Missionaries, who work across the world, have a long-standing record of serving humanity, particularly in the fields of education, health, and social service. Their services in India have been remarkable and deserve due respect.

If there is any alleged wrongdoing by any individual or group in Kathua or elsewhere, the matter should be dealt with strictly as per the provisions of the Constitution and law, rather than by taking matters into one’s own hands.

The BSP also strongly condemns the breaking of the statue of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at Bani. Such an act deeply hurts the sentiments of millions who revere Babasaheb as the architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of equality and justice. The statue should be immediately replaced, and the culprits must be traced and punished under the law to restore confidence and communal harmony in society.

The Bahujan Samaj Party Jammu and Kashmir Darshan Rana appeals to all communities to maintain peace, brotherhood, and mutual respect, and urges the administration to take strong action against those trying to disturb social harmony.
