Oct. 25 Continuing its efforts to combat drug trafficking, Pulwama Police apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 41 grams of contraband substance (Charas) at Pahoo Gundipora Crossing. A police team from Police Station Kakapora, during routine naka checking, intercepted a vehicle (i10, JK01N/5539) and recovered the contraband from its dashbox. The driver, identified as Bilal Ahmad Sofi, son of Abdul Rehman Sofi, resident of Summerbug Lasjan, was arrested on the spot.
A case FIR No. 67/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kakapora. Further investigation is underway.
