APPROX 20 LITRES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR(DESI) RECOVERED BY PP NAGRI; 01 HELD.

KATHUA; 22 OCT:- J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma- IPS* recovered approx. 20 litres of Illicit liquor (Desi) and one person got arrested at Mirpur Jagoo, PP Nagri area.
On 20/10/2025 A Police team of PP Nagri led by IC PP Nagri under the guidance of DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh &
SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Chib established naka for checking of vehicles at Mirpur Jagoo area. During the checking police team was able to recover approx. 20 litres of illicit liquor(Desi) from the possession of one person who was indulged in doing illegal trade of selling illicit liquor(Desi) among the locals in order to get wrongful gain. While further questioning he disclosed his name as Chanda Ram S/o Kartar Chand R/o Mirpur Jagoo Tehsil Nagri Distt.Kathua.Thereafter all the recovered consignment of approx. 20 litres illicit liquor(desi) got seized and one person arrested on spot.
In this regard a case FIR No. 514/2025 U/S 48(a) Excise Act stands registered at this P/S Kathua, further investigation is underway.
