8 अक्टूबर: समाज से नशे की बुराई को खत्म करने के अपने प्रयासों को जारी रखते हुए, बारामूला पुलिस ने एक ड्रग तस्कर को गिरफ्तार किया और उसके कब्जे से प्रतिबंधित पदार्थ बरामद किया।
पट्टन पुलिस स्टेशन के एक पुलिस दल ने हंजीवेरा पुल पर स्थापित एक नाके पर एक संदिग्ध व्यक्ति को रोका, जिसने मौके से भागने की कोशिश की, लेकिन उसे चतुराई से पकड़ लिया गया। उसकी तलाशी के दौरान, उसके पास से लगभग 40 ग्राम वजन का एक पीले रंग का पॉलीथीन बैग बरामद हुआ, जिसमें छड़ी के आकार का चरस जैसा पदार्थ था। उसकी पहचान मोमिन अहमद डार, पुत्र शाहमीम अहमद डार, निवासी रामबैल गढ़, शालतांग, श्रीनगर के रूप में हुई।
तदनुसार, पट्टन पुलिस स्टेशन में संबंधित धाराओं के तहत प्राथमिकी संख्या 205/2025 के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।

J&K Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla; Contraband substance recovered.
October 08:Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Baramulla have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police Party of Police Station Pattan at a checkpoint established at Hanjiwera Bridge intercepted a suspicious person, who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. During his personal search, a yellow-coloured polythene bag containing charas-like substance in stick form weighing approximately 40 grams was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Momin Ahmad Dar, son of Shahmeem Ahmad Dar, resident of Rambail Gad, Shaltang, Srinagar.
Accordingly, a Case vide FIR No. 205/2025 under relevant sections of las has been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation has been taken up.
