Sh. Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General, Armed J&K, accompanied by Sh. Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG IRP Jammu Range, visited IRP 14th Battalion Headquarters, Channi Himmat, to review the operational preparedness, welfare initiatives, and administrative functioning of the unit. On his arrival, a ceremonial welcome was presented to him by Commandant IRP 14th Battalion, along with other officers.
2. During the visit, ADG Armed inaugurated several newly established facilities, including the Shaheed Ranbir Singh Thakur Hall, Martyrsโ Gallery, Shaheed Manjit Singh Barrack, and Shaheed Bashir Ahmad Barrack. These dedicated infrastructures have been developed both as a tribute to the supreme sacrifices of brave martyrs and also to enhance the accommodation standards of the personnel. Appreciating the initiative, ADG Armed stated that such efforts preserve the legacy of the martyrs and inspire greater commitment, patriotism, and professional excellence among the ranks.
3. Later, ADG Armed conducted a Darbar with officers and jawans, where he patiently heard their issues, grievances, and suggestions. He assured that all genuine concerns would be addressed on priority and directed the unit administration to maintain a sustained focus on welfare of jawans, discipline, skill development, professional training, and constructive public engagement.
4. During the ceremony, ADG Armed distributed 02 DGPโs medals and 16 appreciation letters among 18 officers and officials of the battalion in recognition of their distinguished services. He also presented certificates to the four position holders of one-month Capsule Course, encouraging them to continue excelling in their professional pursuits.
5. The visit concluded with a comprehensive inspection of facilities, interactive discussions and an expression of gratitude by the battalion for his guidance, motivation, and visionary leadership.
6. Among others present on the occasion were Sh. Sameer Sharma, IPS, DIG Armed Range Jammu, Sh. Mohd. Aslam, IPS, Commandant IR 24th Battalion; Sh. Ramesh Kotwal, Commandant 1st Women Battalion; and Sh. Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu.
