๐๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐, ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ 10, 2026:A preparatory meeting under the chairmanship of Shri Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (Armed), J&K, was held at the Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ), Jammu, to review arrangements for the Martyrs Memorial Hockey Tournament (MMHT) 2025โ26, scheduled to be held from February 1-5 2026 at Jammu.
2. The tournament is being organised under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) of the J&K Police. During the meeting, the ADG Armed undertook a comprehensive review of preparations to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the prestigious sporting event.
3. Detailed deliberations were held on key aspects, including accommodation, boarding and messing arrangements for participating teams, medical facilities, traffic management, security deployment, crowd control, and effective inter-departmental coordination.
4. Emphasising the importance of robust security measures, efficient traffic regulation, adequate medical support, and effective crowd management, Sh. Jain directed all concerned officers to strictly adhere to prescribed timelines and ensure that all arrangements are finalized well in advance. He stressed the need to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for players, officials, and spectators.
5. The Martyrs Memorial Hockey Tournament is an annual sporting event of the J&K Police, organised to honour the supreme sacrifices of martyrs while promoting sportsmanship, youth engagement, and camaraderie among police personnel and civil teams. The tournament attracts teams from across the Union Territory and serves as an important platform for nurturing sporting talent and strengthening policeโpublic relations.

Aijez Mian, In-charge Medical Superintendent Police Hospital Jammu, Dr. Taran Singh General Secy. Hockey J&K, and other officers.
