भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) की कठुआ जिला इकाई ने आज सेवा पखवाड़ा कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत एक सम्मान समारोह का आयोजन किया। इस कार्यक्रम में दिव्यांगजनों, पूर्व सैनिकों, प्रजा परिषद काल के वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ताओं और वरिष्ठ नागरिकों का सम्मान किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम भाजपा जिला अध्यक्ष उपदेश अंदोत्रा के नेतृत्व में आयोजित किया गया।
जम्मू-कश्मीर भाजपा महासचिव संजीता डोगरा को कार्यक्रम में मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया था। उनके साथ मंच पर जम्मू-कश्मीर भाजपा महासचिव गोपाल महाजन, कठुआ विधायक डॉ. भारत भूषण, हीरानगर विधायक एडवोकेट विजय शर्मा, डीडीसी उपाध्यक्ष रघुनंदन सिंह, भाजपा महिला मोर्चा की राष्ट्रीय सचिव रेखा कुमारी, जिला महासचिव राजेश मेहता, वरिष्ठ नेता रवींद्र शर्मा और गगन सिंह भी मौजूद थे।
इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए, संजीता डोगरा ने कहा कि भाजपा केवल एक राजनीतिक दल नहीं, बल्कि एक सामाजिक आंदोलन है जो समाज के हर वर्ग के कल्याण के लिए कार्य करता है। उन्होंने सेवा पखवाड़ा के अंतर्गत चलाए जा रहे विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों की जानकारी भी साझा की। प्रजा परिषद कार्यकर्ताओं के बलिदान को याद करते हुए, उन्होंने कहा कि उनके संघर्षों के कारण ही आज जम्मू-कश्मीर भारत का अभिन्न अंग है।
उन्होंने कहा कि दिव्यांगों, पूर्व सैनिकों और वरिष्ठ नागरिकों को सम्मानित करके, हम न केवल उनके योगदान को मान्यता देते हैं, बल्कि समाज में उनके प्रति अपनी कृतज्ञता भी व्यक्त करते हैं।
गोपाल महाजन ने देश भर में चलाए जा रहे सेवा पखवाड़ा कार्यक्रमों की प्रशंसा की और इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि भाजपा समाज के अंतिम पंक्ति में खड़े व्यक्ति तक सेवा पहुँचाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
उपदेश अंडोत्रा ने कहा कि सेवा पखवाड़ा का उद्देश्य समाज के सभी वर्गों तक पहुँचना, उन्हें सरकार के कार्यों से अवगत कराना और राष्ट्र निर्माण में उनकी भागीदारी सुनिश्चित करना है।
अपने संबोधन में डॉ. भारत भूषण ने कहा कि आज का यह आयोजन न केवल सम्मान का प्रतीक है, बल्कि समाज में एक सकारात्मक संदेश फैलाने का भी माध्यम है। उन्होंने कहा कि पूर्व सैनिकों और प्रजा परिषद के वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ताओं ने राष्ट्र निर्माण में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है और वे आज के युवाओं के लिए आदर्श बन सकते हैं।
एडवोकेट विजय शर्मा ने कहा कि सेवा पखवाड़ा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की प्रेरणा से समाज के हर वर्ग से जुड़ने और उनकी सेवा करने के उद्देश्य से चलाया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे आयोजन समाज में एकता, सम्मान और सद्भावना को बढ़ावा देते हैं।
कार्यक्रम में पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं, समाजसेवियों, लाभार्थियों और स्थानीय नागरिकों की भारी भीड़ उमड़ी।

Differently-Abled Persons, Ex-Servicemen, veteran Praja Parishad activists, and Senior Citizens honoured by BJP in Kathua
Kathua, 29 September 2025:
The Kathua district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a felicitation ceremony today under the Seva Pakhwada programme. In this programme, differently-abled individuals, ex-servicemen, veteran activists from the Praja Parishad era, and senior citizens were honoured. The event was held under the leadership of BJP District President Updesh Andotra.
J&K BJP General Secretary Sanjita Dogra was invited as the key speaker for the programme. She was accompanied on stage by J&K BJP General Secretary Gopal Mahajan, MLA Kathua Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Hiranagar MLA Advocate Vijay Sharma, DDC Vice-Chairman Raghunandan Singh, BJP Mahila Morcha National Secretary Rekha Kumari, District General Secretary Rajesh Mehta, senior leader Ravindra Sharma, and Gagan Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjita Dogra said that the BJP is not merely a political party but a social movement that works for the welfare of every section of society. She also shared information about various programmes being carried out under Seva Pakhwada. Recalling the sacrifices of Praja Parishad activists, she stated that it is due to their struggles that Jammu & Kashmir is today an integral part of India.
By honoiring the differently-abled, ex-servicemen, and senior citizens, we not only recognize their contributions but also express our gratitude toward them in society, she said.
Gopal Mahajan praised the Seva Pakhwada programmes being conducted across the country and emphasized that the BJP is committed to delivering service to the person standing at the last line of society.
Updesh Andotra stated that the objective of Seva Pakhwada is to reach all sections of society, to inform them about the government’s work, and to ensure their involvement in nation-building.
In his address, Dr. Bharat Bhushan said that today’s event is not just a symbol of respect but also a means of spreading a positive message in society. He remarked that ex-servicemen and senior Praja Parishad workers have played a crucial role in nation-building and can be role models for the youth of today.
Advocate Vijay Sharma said that Seva Pakhwada is being carried out under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the aim of connecting with every section of society and serving them. He added that such events promote unity, respect, and goodwill in the community.
The event saw a large gathering of party workers, social workers, beneficiaries, and local citizens.
